There are several reasons why a sandblasting pot may not be working properly. Below are some of the most common issues and their potential solutions:
Clogged Nozzle: The nozzle is part of the sandblasting pot that sprays the sand onto the surface being cleaned. If the nozzle becomes clogged with sand or debris, it can prevent the sand from being sprayed properly. To fix this issue, try cleaning the nozzle with a needle or compressed air. You can also try using a larger nozzle size or decreasing the sand flow to prevent clogging in the future.
Low Air Pressure: If the air pressure is too low, the sand may not be able to be sprayed properly. Check the air compressor and make sure it is producing enough pressure to operate the sandblasting pot. If the compressor is not producing enough pressure, try adjusting the regulator or replacing the compressor.
Moisture in Airline: Moisture in the airline can cause the sand to clump together, making it difficult to spray properly. Make sure the airline is properly drained and the moisture filter is functioning properly.
Damaged Hose: A damaged or worn hose can cause air leaks, which can decrease the amount of pressure available to the sandblasting pot. Inspect the hose for damage and replace it if necessary.
Clogged Sand Valve: The sand valve controls the flow of sand from the pot to the nozzle. If the valve becomes clogged, it can prevent sand from flowing properly. Try cleaning the valve or replacing it if it is damaged.
Worn Gaskets: The gaskets in a sandblasting pot are responsible for maintaining pressure and preventing leaks. If the gaskets become worn or damaged, they may need to be replaced to ensure proper operation of the pot.
Faulty Pressure Gauge: The pressure gauge on a sandblasting pot is used to monitor the air pressure. If the gauge is faulty or not calibrated properly, it may not accurately reflect the pressure being produced by the compressor. Try replacing the gauge or calibrating it properly.
Improper Sand Type: The type of sand being used in the sandblasting pot can also affect its performance. Make sure the sand being used is the correct size and type for the equipment being used. Using the wrong type of sand can result in clogs and decreased performance.

Inadequate Air Supply: If the air supply to the sandblasting pot is inadequate, it can result in decreased performance. Make sure the air supply is properly sized and the compressor is producing enough air to meet the requirements of the pot.
Faulty Valves: Faulty valves can cause a variety of issues with the sandblasting pot. Check all of the valves and make sure they are functioning properly. Replace any valves that are damaged or not working correctly.
Clogged Air Filters: Clogged air filters can cause decreased performance in the sandblasting pot. Check the air filters and replace them if they are clogged or dirty.
Damaged Blast Hose: The blast hose is the hose that connects the pot to the nozzle. If the hose is damaged, it can cause decreased performance or leaks. Inspect the hose for damage and replace it if necessary.
Inadequate Sand Flow: If the sand flow is inadequate, it can cause decreased performance in the sandblasting pot. Make sure the sand flow control is properly adjusted and the sand is flowing at the correct rate.
Improper Ventilation: Improper ventilation can cause dust and debris to accumulate in the sandblasting area, which can be hazardous to the operator and damage the equipment. Make sure the sandblasting area is properly ventilated to prevent these issues.
